View community ranking In the Top 5 of largest communities on Reddit. ![]() Whether its graduate school or industry youre keen on post-graduation, the department sets you up well for success. ![]() The curriculum is well designed and theres active research at the university about what the best way to teach physics is. This may or may not be necessary depending on how much of the actual physics you want to know and how much the ECE courses offered already provide you with this knowledge, since doing so would mean that you have nearly completed the requirements for a physics degree, since you would have to take PHYS 435 as a prereq. Professors are enthusiastic about including undergraduates in their research. You can consider taking PHYS 485/6 for the formal physics introduction to quantum physics. This is probably the most direct way to approach the subject. Someone already mentioned that PHYS 370 would be a good course. Physics major (with interest in quantum computing/information) here.
